Let me start off by saying that $9 (that's including shipping) for 7 pairs of earrings is a pretty good deal. I've looked for fake gauges for a while and you can find some in the stores for about $8 for one pair. Needless to say, when I saw these, I had to try them.I've read other reviews about them being crappy and break easy, and I've had a mixed experience. I first bought a pack back in June. About 4 months later, of my 7 pairs, 3 pieces cracked and 2 the treads wore out (so I'm unable to use them/screw them on), and the rest are holding up strong. A trick I found with them is not to try and over screw it, don't tighten it too much because that may just crack the plastic.Overall I've been extremely satisfied (again, it was less than $10 for these) and just bought myself a new set. The last set lasted me 4 months, and this new set that came in seem a little sturdier. Unlike the first set, these have metal treads in the gauges to screw the bar into, so I'm expecting these to last longer and possibly not crack so easy. I'll update this review after trying this new set out.I would recommend, especially if you need a bargain. Not what I expected - I expected these earrings to be a little smaller, especially since my ears are quite small. However, the quality is decent - I wore one of them. The front and back didn't align straight - it was somewhat slanted. However, once it's on, you can't really tell. If your piercing hole on your ear (not sure what to call it) is not that big, these earrings can be a bit of a struggle (and somewhat painful!) to put on as they'll essentially be stretching the hole out. Also, since my ears are small, I'm not sure if it's just me, but the post was a little too long for my thin ear lobes. I don't think I'll be wearing this very often. These are even better than I hoped for, actually better than the ones I've gotten from Claire's and Spencer's (which were more expensive, too. Claire's fell apart, Spencer's just mildly irritated my ears) None of mine have fallen apart or shown any sign of breaking. A few of them were screwed in pretty tight, but I simply took off the bands to unscrew them carefully and they came off fine. Additionally, instead of just screwing into a hole in the plastic, they screw into a small metal piece which is soooo much better and quite sturdy. All of them look nice and came in a little bag in perfect shape. I even sleep with them in and they're comfortable and fine, no rubber bands falling off. My ears are pretty sensitive to some earrings and I haven't had any problems with irritation, I seriously recommend these to anyone. The black ones are my favorite, all of them look great though. Would totally buy more.Ordered these as part of my "90s emo kids" Halloween costume. It looked pretty good however the bar between the 2 "gauges" is a lot longer than I expected. Maybe I just have thin earlobes but there was space on either side of my earlobe when the earring was in as I as hoping it would be a bit of a tighter fit to make it seem more realistic. All in all it worked, I just pushed it to the back and hid the space in my hair. They were comfortable throughout the nightSo, the ones that I haven't done a detailed cleaning on, I still have. But, the ones I used to wear regularly and did a detailed cleaning with Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol 70% and a toothbrush literally melted; no joke. The plastic melted in my hands. So, clean them with something much less astringent; like soap and water and they will last forever. Mine are. After hearing the reviews I was a little worried about whether I should get these but they're great! I've only had them for about 4 days now and I have no complaints, other than the posts are a little big. They came in a small bag but none were damaged and I used these as my first ear piercings, which isn't really a good idea but they've been working great for me so far. The backs haven't been cracked at all yet and I'm hoping it'll keep lasting this well for the next several weeks before I can change them. In conclusion, id recommend anyone to buy this if you like fake plugs, 5 stars!I bought these on December 28th and received them on January 2nd. So pretty fast shipping considering Jan. 1st was a holiday.Pros: They look just like real gauges, plus they are easy to twist off and on.Cons : None so far :)Some people have been writing that after wearing them for about 2-3hrs they start to hurt your ears. But I've worn them all day and they haven't hurt. Also people are saying that the part that goes through your ear is too big. But mine fit just right in my ears :) I recommend this to everyoneIt worked pretty well in the first few weeks but they all broke in half after awhile. I couldn't manage to save a single pair despite that tho they were comfortable and stylish, I'd buy new pairs from this place but know that I should use them sparinglyEarrings are wonderful and colorful like pictured. However, the black pieces fall off within a couple hours which is a bit annoying as it changes their look. Overall not a bad product.cheap break easily
